Hi! I'm Bonnie, an artist, freelance writer, and editor working from the sunny Central Coast of California. Little Green Blackbird is my creative home online. I write articles, essays, and interviews on topics like social justice, mental health, regenerative agriculture and faith.

My background is in international political science and I’m intensely interested in issues of social justice and immigration, especially in the context of our current political climate. I am also interested in helping promote women’s voices as small business and nonprofit leaders, writers and artists in social change movements. I the current editor of The Unmooring, a feminist Christian publication that amplifies the writing and art of women around the world. I’m a former poetry editor for the open-access literary journal, Printer’s Devil Review, and I had the privilege to volunteer at the 2003 People’s Poetry Gathering and at Poet’s House in New York City. In 2014, I attended the Vermont College of Fine Arts Postgraduate Writer’s Conference, studying creative nonfiction. I have been published in the New South, EcoTheo Review, The Ocotillo Review, Edible Ojai & Ventura County and more.

I'm always interested in collaborating and meeting new friends, so feel free to send me a message.
